Join Rev. Dean Miller and The Gap at Sawmill Meadow for a discussion about Navigating the Path to Adulthood.
Our leader will be the Rev. Dean Miller. Dean has a passion and over thirty years of experience helping young people know God’s love and hope as they grow into new adults. Dean leads interactive experiences around the country that will help you understand just what is happening inside you and around
you as a young person, and as a parent. You’ll leave with common vocabulary, ways to evaluate how you are doing, and a way of understanding God’s Good Story that will help you trust him for a lifetime.
Dean is an Anglican pastor at Christ Church Vienna in Virginia who has worked for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Apple, and several churches small, medium, and large. He is a contributing author to The Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation and Culture and has led workshops in the U.S., Canada, and South Africa and recently finished serving on the Board of Governors of Regent College, Vancouver, his alma mater. The past few years he has been sharing around the country a discipleship program he created for his own kids when they were seniors in high-school.
Would you invest two hours with your new adult, or soon to be new adult, child to consider these kinds of questions together?
How do I navigate life as a new adult?
How can I parent my child better as they launch into adulthood?
How can our family communicate better as we all grow up and older?
How can I partner with my son or daughter as they consider good “next steps” in life?
If you want to leave the night feeling encouraged and hopeful about these and other questions about launching into adulthood, growing as a parent, or wondering how faith fits into the puzzle — then this night is for you!
The Gap at Sawmill Meadow is a faith-based Gap Program for new adults.
Our mission is cultivating wholeness in new adults so they launch thriving in purpose and responsibility.
